Dear Elite School of Dance Families,

 

After realizing that our hopes of having our end of the year recital is not going to happen the way we had hoped for, we have decided to focus on what we can do for the dancers and give them a special night to remember with their families and loved ones!

 

This is a little outline of the vision we have for your families special night of recital memories 2020:  

 

*Sit down with your family and pick a date for your special recital night.  Make sure that your loved ones can come and be a part of it. 

 

*Send out a little invitation or save the date card inviting them to join you for a night of entertainment starring your child.  Let your child help design the invitation!

 

*Plan your child's favorite dinner and dessert and invite your closest family members and friends that would typically be at the recital.

 

*Decide how you would like to decorate the area that they will be performing in.

 (Example:  Fun balloons and streamers)

 

*Pick someone in your family to MC

 

*Sit down and write out a sweet intro including fun facts about your child, and what they will be performing.

 

*Have your child sit down and write out Thank you notes to all family members who are planning on attending the special event.

 

*Clear a space large enough for your child's performance, and if you would like to lay down a piece of plywood large enough for them to perform their dance on. If your child doesn't remember their dance don't worry...let your child improv to their song or songs.

  

*Make sure that they have the opportunity to perform in all of their costumes.

 

*Have a beautiful bouquet for the end of the performance that you will present to your child.

 

* Make a fun backdrop for family pictures with your child in their costume.

 

*Please record your child's performances and if you would like to email it to the studio, we will be collecting everyone's footage and editing them together featuring each dancer for approximately 30 seconds to make a virtual recital experience for those who would like to purchase.  All families wanting to participate in the virtual recital would need to have their recording turned in no later than September 30th. 

 

 

We hope this special night is the perfect ending to a very difficult year, and we hope to be able to serve your family in the classroom or virtually when we return this fall starting September 8th!
