Class Expectations

CLASS DRESS CODES: please try to have the required dancewear and shoes by the first day of classes or as soon as possible.
HAIR: Hair should be up off the neck for all dance classes. A bun is preferred in ballet classes.
NO JEWELRY is to be worn to class and NO GUM CHEWING in class.
TARDINESS: Any student tardy to class over three times will not be allowed in class and a parent or guardian will be contacted.
NO CELL PHONES may be brought into class.
ABSENSES: If your child will not be present, please call the office and let us know.
CONSULTATIONS: Teachers are always pleased to speak with parents about their child's progress. If there are any questions or concerns you would like to discuss, please see the receptionist to make an appointment. Please DO NOT speak with a teacher during or between class times, as this takes away from all other students in class.
OUR SCHOOL YEAR runs from September to the beginning of June. School closures due to inclement weather will follow the Puyallup School District.
NEWSLETTERS: There is a monthly newsletter available each month to keep parents and families informed on the activities of the school. Don't be left out of vital information, please pick one up each month.

Class Dress Codes

Our dress code is necessary since body placement must be visible so that the faculty can properly assess the dancers’ line and movement.

COMBO CLASSES and GYM-MINI CRICKET: Pink, black or lavender leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Also white tap shoes for Ballet/Tap class. Boys: black stretch pant, white t-shirt and black ballet shoes as well as black tap shoes for Ballet/Tap class.
BALLET: Black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. A skirt may be worn in the advanced classes. Boys: black stretch pant, white t-shirt and black ballet shoes.
LYRICAL: Any solid colored leotard, tan or black tights, tan lyrical shoes. Skirts may be worn. Boys: Same as ballet.
JAZZ and MUSICAL THEATRE: Solid color leotard, black dance pant. Black, tan or pink tights and tan jazz oxford (advanced students should check with teacher). Shorts and skirts may be worn. Boys: Black jazz pant, white t-shirt and tan jazz oxford.
TAP: Solid color leotard and tights of your choice and tan tap shoes (advanced students should check with teachers). Jazz pant or skirt may be worn. Boys: Same as jazz and black tap shoe.
HIP HOP: Leotard or comfortable work out type pant and t-shirt. Tennis shoes that are purchased and saved for the purpose of dance classes (clean soles only due to dance floor finishes).
POM-CHEER and PILATES: Comfortable workout type pant, t-shirt and tan jazz oxford for younger students or black dance sneaker for older students.
